Hawaii Five-0

Hawaii Five-0 follows former Navy officer Steve McGarrett as he returns to Oahu after a personal loss and is asked to lead an elite state task force. Working outside typical departmental limits, he assembles a small team that blends local knowledge with mainland experience. Together they take on high-stakes crimes across the islands, from organized syndicates to kidnappings, while balancing duty, loyalty, and the pressures of living under the Hawaiian sun.

After coming back to Oahu to settle family matters, Steve McGarrett is recruited by the governor to form a specialized unit with broad authority and minimal bureaucracy. McGarrett builds his team around skilled partners with very different styles: seasoned former detective Danny Williams, connected local officer Chin Ho Kelly, and determined young investigator Kono Kalakaua. Operating as Hawaii Five-0, they chase major cases that regular agencies struggle to contain, spanning drug networks, political corruption, violent robberies, and elaborate cons. Each investigation tests their tactics and trust as they navigate island communities, competing jurisdictions, and the complications of working in a tight-knit place where everyone seems connected. Between action-driven operations and character-based tension, the series mixes procedural mysteries with ongoing relationships, showing how the team becomes a family while trying to keep Hawaii safe.
