Synopsis

After a meteor shower changes the quiet town of Smallville, Kansas, teenager Clark Kent begins developing powers he can barely control. Adopted by Jonathan and Martha Kent, Clark is determined to live a normal life, but his strength, speed, and heightened senses make secrecy a constant struggle. As unusual events ripple through the community, he investigates the mysteries surrounding the meteors and the fragments that affect others in unpredictable ways. Clark’s closest relationships shape him: his devotion to the Kents grounds his morals, his feelings for Lana Lang test his honesty, and his friendship with wealthy newcomer Lex Luthor evolves into something far more complicated as their ambitions and doubts grow. Over time, Clark faces escalating threats, learns more about his alien heritage, and begins taking on responsibilities beyond his small-town world. The series traces his gradual path toward a larger calling, long before he becomes a public hero.
