Overview

Set in a convent in San Juan, Puerto Rico, this light fantasy sitcom follows Sister Bertrille, a spirited young nun whose starched headpiece and a strong breeze can lift her into the air. Her unexpected flights often turn everyday errands into complicated adventures, usually with good intentions. While Mother Superior worries about order and propriety, the other sisters and local friends find themselves swept into Sister Bertrille’s well-meaning schemes and airborne mishaps.

Synopsis

At a convent in San Juan, Sister Bertrille is eager to help wherever she can, but she has an unusual problem: when the wind catches her stiff cornette, she can take off and fly. What begins as a surprising quirk quickly becomes a regular part of convent life as Bertrille tries to put her gift to practical use, from assisting neighbors to supporting community projects and solving everyday troubles. Her enthusiasm, however, often collides with rules, schedules, and the cautious leadership of Mother Superior, who worries about attention, safety, and the convent’s reputation. The other sisters, along with friends outside the convent, are drawn into Bertrille’s plans, sometimes acting as rescuers, accomplices, or reluctant witnesses to her midair detours. Each episode mixes gentle comedy with heartfelt intentions as Bertrille learns to balance obedience and compassion while navigating the consequences of her extraordinary flights.
