Noah Galvin's career connects theatre, television, film and voice performance. His television roles include Kenny in The Real O'Neals and Dr. Asher Wolke in The Good Doctor, while his Broadway work includes Dear Evan Hansen and Waitress. Theater Camp added writing and producing to his feature-film performance credits. The variety is more informative than any single label: Galvin has worked inside established stage productions, recurring screen ensembles and a film developed with close creative collaborators, bringing different kinds of preparation to each setting.
Galvin's stage experience extends well beyond Broadway. His theatre biography lists The Burnt Part Boys, Love and Information, What I Did Last Summer, Our Town, Yosemite and The Golden Dragon among his off-Broadway credits. The productions connect him with organisations including the Vineyard, Playwrights Horizons, New York Theatre Workshop and Signature Theatre. That background makes his later musical-theatre work part of an extended professional path, rather than an isolated move from television into live performance. His Broadway debut came in Dear Evan Hansen.
ABC's biography identifies The Real O'Neals as his television breakthrough. It also records his film appearances in Booksmart and Assassination Nation, alongside his later role as Asher Wolke in The Good Doctor. These projects place him in very different ensembles, ranging from family comedy to a hospital drama and films concerned with younger characters. The Booksmart festival photograph below belongs to the film's promotional life at South by Southwest; it is presented as an event photograph, not as a scene from the story.
Voice acting provides another strand of his work. ABC credits him as Prince Rupert in the fantasy podcast The Two Princes and notes his audiobook performances in The Perks of Being a Wallflower and What If It's Us. Audio performance removes the visual information supplied by a face or costume, making vocal emphasis and pacing especially important. For someone familiar with his television work, these recordings offer a different way to hear his character work and to consider how an ensemble performance can function without a visible stage.
Theater Camp brought Galvin together with Ben Platt, Molly Gordon and Nick Lieberman as writers, with Galvin also producing and performing. He plays Glenn, the camp's underestimated production manager. The film gives the staff and students of a struggling theatre camp a shared task: mounting a show while their institution faces an uncertain future. GLAAD's coverage of the premiere highlights Glenn's movement from backstage work toward performance. That character gives the film a way to recognise people whose creative contribution can remain out of the spotlight.
In their PBS conversation about Theater Camp, Galvin and Platt discussed how formative theatre spaces had been for them and for young people seeking a place to express themselves. The film's affectionate attention to that world sits alongside its satire of theatrical behaviour. Galvin's subsequent stage work also included The Reservoir at Atlantic Theater in 2026, playing Josh in Jake Brasch's intergenerational story. These projects keep theatre present in his career as both a subject for filmmaking and a place to return as a performer.
A useful introduction pairs a stretch of The Good Doctor with Theater Camp and an audio performance. The contrast reveals how a recurring dramatic character, a comic film ensemble and a voice-only story ask for different kinds of presence. His stage credits provide further context for that range, especially the transition into Dear Evan Hansen after Ben Platt. The gallery combines a 2024 press portrait with a separate 2019 Booksmart cast event, preserving their dates and settings as two specific moments rather than a complete photographic history.
A press portrait and a separate Booksmart cast appearance document Galvin beyond his fictional roles.
