Kevin Conroy

Intro

Kevin Conroy was an American actor born in Westbury, New York, on November 30, 1955. He died on November 10, 2022. Although best known as the voice of Batman, his background was in theatre and live-action television. He studied at Juilliard under John Houseman, and his early career included Shakespeare and contemporary plays. Voice acting became the part of that career heard by generations of viewers and game players.

Before Batman, Conroy appeared in daytime drama and prime-time television, including Another World, Dynasty and Tour of Duty. His association with the Dark Knight began with Batman: The Animated Series in 1992. It continued through animated films, Batman Beyond, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited and video games. These are different productions sharing a performer, rather than one continuous television series.
