Holland Roden became widely known as Lydia Martin in Teen Wolf, a role that developed across six seasons and returned in the feature continuation Teen Wolf: The Movie. Her later credits include horror, anthology television, romantic films and mystery. That combination makes Lydia an important starting point rather than a complete description of her career. Roden has worked both within a continuing supernatural ensemble and in stories that establish a new character and situation within the shorter span of a feature or television movie.
Teen Wolf places Lydia among the young people drawn into the dangers surrounding Beacon Hills. Roden's performance is part of an ensemble whose friendships and supernatural discoveries develop together, with Tyler Posey as Scott McCall at its center. The series gives its characters time to change, so an early impression of Lydia does not account for everything the role becomes. Following her through the continuing story is more revealing than treating a single scene or a familiar promotional image as a summary of the character.
The 2023 feature Teen Wolf: The Movie reunited Roden with returning members of that cast. Paramount's official announcement identifies her again as Lydia Martin, alongside Posey's Scott, Crystal Reed's Allison Argent and other established characters. The production is a continuation of the television world, rather than a new version of the earlier theatrical comedy with the same title. That distinction is important when exploring the credit: the film draws on relationships created by the series and asks the returning performers to revisit those shared histories.
Escape Room: Tournament of Champions gives Roden a different kind of suspense role as Rachel. The film brings survivors into another set of dangerous puzzles, with Taylor Russell and Logan Miller returning from the first film. Roden joins that ensemble as a new character. In an interview published by Cinemark, she discussed the role alongside Miller and director Adam Robitel. The premise places immediate pressure on the group, so the relationships are established under urgent physical circumstances rather than through the extended school and family life of Teen Wolf.
Her other genre work includes the anthology productions Channel Zero and Lore, as well as Mother, May I?, on which Hallmark's biography records both starring and producing work. Anthology storytelling offers a different context from a series built around recurring characters: the surrounding world and its rules can change between installments. The range of credits therefore matters beyond the broad label of horror. A feature, a continuing supernatural drama and an anthology installment each provide a different amount of time and a different framework for developing a performance.
Hallmark projects add romance and mystery to that record. Roden has appeared in Making Waves and Time for Him to Come Home for Christmas, and she stars opposite Chris McNally in Tipline Mysteries: Dial 1 for Murder. The latter centers a newspaper tip-line worker drawn into an investigation after a cryptic call. Moving from supernatural threats to an amateur investigation changes how suspense is built and what the central character must notice. It also offers viewers a way to encounter Roden outside the role that first made her widely familiar.
The two photographs here document separate Teen Wolf appearances: an individual Comic-Con image from 2013 and a 2012 Paley event with Colton Haynes and Tyler Hoechlin. They preserve a specific period in the show's public life while the selected credits point toward the work that followed. A viewing route through Lydia, Rachel and the Hallmark mysteries can follow how the same performer adapts to different ensembles and tones. Each production supplies its own character and circumstances, giving the larger career more shape than a single genre label can provide.
