Dana Snyder is an American actor and comedian whose voice is closely associated with Master Shake in Aqua Teen Hunger Force. His career also includes Scratch in The Ghost and Molly McGee, Gazpacho in Chowder and Dr. Colosso in The Thundermans. He works in live theater as well as animation, bringing a performer's timing to characters that may look nothing like a human being. A cup, a ghost and a villainous rabbit each require a distinct comic attitude, even when listeners recognize the actor's voice beneath the design.
Snyder earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Webster University in 1996, as the university's alumni record confirms. That theater background is an important part of a career often described only through cartoons. A stage performer has to sustain a scene with other actors and communicate through movement as well as speech. Voice acting concentrates much of that task into sound, but it still depends on relationships, intention and timing. Snyder's later theater credits show that the stage and the recording booth have remained connected parts of his professional work.
Master Shake is a central example of his animated comedy. The character belongs to Aqua Teen Hunger Force alongside Frylock and Meatwad, whose performers include Carey Means and series co-creator Dave Willis. Warner Bros. Discovery's announcement for the series and Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm identifies that returning cast. Shake's self-importance and argumentative behavior create friction within the group, so the performance works through exchanges as much as through isolated lines. Snyder gives the character an emphatic presence that can make an absurd complaint sound like an urgent personal grievance.
The same franchise has moved between short television stories and feature-length productions. Plantasm brings Snyder back as Master Shake, preserving a familiar voice within a different narrative scale. For viewers exploring his work, the distinction matters: a feature is a separate production with its own story and credits, not simply a longer episode to be listed under an undifferentiated title. His association with Adult Swim also includes Granny Cuyler in Squidbillies, a role named in Webster's alumni account and another example of a character built around a recognizable comic perspective.
Scratch in The Ghost and Molly McGee places Snyder opposite Ashly Burch's Molly. Disney's introduction describes an optimistic child sharing her new home with a grumpy ghost whose purpose is to spread misery. The opposition gives both performers something specific to play: one character welcomes possibility while the other resists it. Snyder's complaints therefore operate inside a friendship comedy made for a different audience from Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Comparing the two roles shows how a forceful comic voice can be adjusted to a different relationship, story structure and emotional destination.
Other credits extend that range. His representation biography includes Gazpacho in Chowder and Dr. Colosso in The Thundermans, while his Capes and Tights interview discusses work including Graballa the Hutt in LEGO Star Wars. Live theater offers another point of comparison. Alabama Shakespeare Festival's 2025 Frozen program credits Snyder as Olaf in its stage production. That is a production-specific stage role, separate from the voice casting of the animated film. It demonstrates why a biography should identify both the character and the version of a work when tracing an actor's career.
Snyder's public appearances make the person behind these voices visible to audiences who may know him from very different programs. The gallery records three distinct events: judging the costume contest at Animate Miami in 2014, appearing at Magic City Comic Con in January 2015 and Florida Supercon later that year. The photographs retain their separate event information, creators and licenses. They provide an honest visual record of the performer interacting with fans, while the biography and selected credits connect those appearances with the theater, television and animation work that brought him to their attention.
Three distinct convention photographs show Snyder at public appearances in 2014 and 2015.
